Itinerary

Day 1Cusco – Tinki -Pacchanta – Cusco

We’ll pick you up at 04:30 am from your hotel in cusco. then, you’ll take a unforgettable journey to the community of Pacchanta.

Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a delicios breakfast at a local restaurant, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients to give you energy for the hike.

After breakfast, at 8:00 a.m., you’ll begin a 12 km trek through some of the most spectacular landscapes in the Peruvian Andes. Along the way, you’ll visit seven stunning lagoons, each with its own vibrant color and unique character—shaped by the mineral-rich waters of the region.

You’ll stop at each lagoon, such as Pucacocha, China Otorongo, Orqo Otorongo, Oqecocha, Comercocha, Alcacocha, and Azul Cocha. Each lagoon has its own charm and story, offering a deeper connection to the Andean ecosystem.

As you hike, you’ll enjoy incredible views of the Ausangate glaciers and traverse through breathtaking high-altitude landscapes home to alpacas, vicuñas, and unique Andean flora.

The highest point of the trek reaches 4,650 meters (15,255 feet)—offering sweeping views of the majestic Vilcanota Mountain Range.

At the end of the hike, enjoy a lunch in Pacchanta. If you wish, you can relax in the soothing hot springs, the perfect way to unwind after your trek.

My journey to the Seven Lagoons of Ausangate was nothing short of spectacular. The day kicked off with an early pickup from my hotel in Cusco, signaling the beginning of an adventure-filled day in the Andes.

Arriving in Tinke, we indulged in a traditional breakfast at a local restaurant, setting the stage for the day ahead. The flavorsome meal provided the energy needed for the upcoming trek while offering a glimpse into the local culinary delights.

The trek itself was awe-inspiring, with four hours of traversing through the mesmerizing landscapes of the Vilcanota mountain range. The sight of local shepherds and farmers amidst the vibrant valleys added to the authenticity of the experience, showcasing traditional Andean life.
