Day 1Cusco – Queswachaqa - Cusco.

Tour Itinerary: Q’eswachaka Bridge & Four Lagoons – Full-Day Adventure

Your adventure begins at 4:30 a.m. with a hotel or hostel pickup in Cusco. By 5:00 a.m., once everyone is gathered, you’ll set off in comfortable transport, winding through the picturesque districts of the Cusco region.

Your first stop is Combapata, where you can take a short break, use the restrooms, and enjoy a traditional local breakfast of hot quinoa and fresh bread with cheese.

Next, you’ll visit the Combapata viewpoint and continue through Yanaoca, one of the eight districts of Canas Province. About an hour later, you’ll arrive at Q’ewe, home to the famous Q’eswachaka Bridge. Spanning 28.67 meters across the Apurímac River, this incredible suspension bridge is made entirely from braided plant fibers and is rebuilt each June by four surrounding communities—a living testament to ancient Inca engineering. You’ll have time to walk across the bridge, explore the surroundings, and hear fascinating stories about its history and cultural significance from your guide.

Your journey continues for another hour to the Four Lagoons: Pampamarca, Asnacqocha, Acopía, and Pomacanchi. Here, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by breathtaking Andean scenery, vibrant local flora and fauna, and insightful tales from your guide about the region’s traditions and culture.

After lunch, you’ll begin your return to Cusco, with a brief stop at the Rumipunku Portal, a historical site along the route. You’ll then enjoy a scenic two-hour drive back, arriving in Cusco around 4:30 p.m.
