Itinerary

Day 1Tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas

Sacred Valley Tour + Train to Aguas Calientes

You’ll be picked up from your hostel at 7:50 a.m. to begin your journey through the breathtaking Sacred Valley of the Incas. Along the way, you’ll stop at lively artisan markets where you can browse and find unique, handcrafted souvenirs.

Next, you’ll explore the impressive archaeological site of Pisac, known for its stunning terraces carved into the mountainside. After that, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in the charming town of Urubamba — the perfect opportunity to relax and recharge.

In the afternoon, you’ll visit the remarkable Fortress of Ollantaytambo, often referred to as the “living Inca city” due to its rich history and excellent preservation.

After your visit, you’ll walk about 10 minutes to the train station in Ollantaytambo, where you’ll board the 7:00 p.m. train to Aguas Calientes. This scenic journey through the Andes takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Once you arrive in Aguas Calientes, you’ll check into your pre-arranged hotel and unwind — ready for the adventure that awaits at Machu Picchu the next day.

Day 2Tour to Machu Picchu “The lost city of the Incas”

Machu Picchu Guided Tour + Return to Cusco

You’ll start your day early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu — a truly unforgettable moment. After soaking in the view, you’ll take a guided tour through the most iconic areas of the site, including the Main Plaza, the Temple of the Sun, the Inti Watana (solar clock), the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the ceremonial cemeteries.

Once your guided tour is complete, you’ll have the option to continue exploring on your own with a hike to the summit of Huayna Picchu or the Machu Picchu Mountain. These optional treks take a few hours and offer incredible scenery and sweeping panoramic views. (Please note: these hikes are unguided and require advance booking.)

After your hike, you’ll take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, you’ll board the train to Ollantaytambo, where our team will be waiting to take you by bus back to your hotel in Cusco.
