  • Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain Hike: $70 USD (optional, upon request).

What to bring

  • Original passport:You cannot use a copy of your passport. Make sure your original passport is valid for at least six months to enter and leave Peru. Also, ensure it has at least two blank pages for entry and exit stamps.
  • Student ID (if applicable):Required only if you have booked the Excursion as a student. The student card must be issued by your university (up to 25 years old) and include university details, personal information, a photo, and a valid date no later than December 31 of the travel year.
  • Insect repellent:Use repellent with at least 15% DEET. Although there is no reported malaria risk, it helps prevent insect bites and keeps you comfortable.
  • Comfortable shoes:Tennis shoes or hiking boots with good grip are essential for walking on uneven and steep terrain.
  • Comfortable clothing:Dress for cold and windy conditions. Bring a waterproof and windproof jacket.
  • Daypack:A comfortable, lightweight, and compact backpack to carry your personal belongings during the day.
  • Sun protection:Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are essential due to strong sun exposure at high altitude.
  • Personal medication:Bring your own medication and a basic first-aid kit.
  • Hat and sunglasses:The sun is intense at high altitudes, so protect your eyes with UV-protection sunglasses and a comfortable hat.
  • Warm clothing:Temperatures vary significantly between day and night. Bring fleece, long-sleeve shirts, a down jacket, and a waterproof outer layer.
  • Hand sanitizer:Carry a small bottle to clean your hands before eating, drinking, or after using restrooms.
  • Emergency money:Bring extra cash for emergencies. It is recommended to carry around 300 soles / USD 90 in cash.
  • Tickets:Keep all your tickets handy, including train tickets and entrance fees. Print them or save them on your phone.
Itinerary

Day 1Cusco - City Tour

Welcome to Cusco!

Upon your arrival at Cusco Airport, a warm welcome awaits you, we’ll pick you up and tranfer to your hotel. Once there enjoy a refreshing cup of aromatic coca tea, a traditional remedy known for helping travelers acclimate to the city’s high altitude.

Enjoy a relaxing morning with time for a light lunch at your hotel or at one of the nearby restaurants.

In the afternoon, we’ll pick you up from the hotel lobby to immerse your self in the historical splendor of Cusco on a guided city tour. Visit the Main Square (plaza de Armas), the majestic Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), followed by the impressive archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman Fortress, Q’enko, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay.

The tour finishes around 6:30 PM, after which you’ll have the evening free to enjoy dinner at one of Cusco’s renowned restaurants and experience the city’s vibrant culinary scene.

Day 2Cusco - Sacred Valley Tour - Aguas Calientes.

After breakfast, we´ll pick you up from your hotel at 7:50 a.m. in Cusco and take you to the alpaca center, “Manos de la Comunidad” where you can meet llamas, alpacas, vicunas, and guanacos. Then, enjoy panoramic views from Taray Viewpoint before exploring the Pisac archaeological site and its bustling handicraft market, a perfect place to experience a rich mixture of colors, traditions, and to engage with local artisans.

Next, continue through the Sacred Valley to Urubamba for a buffet lunch featuring local flavors.
After lunch, in the afternoon you´ll visit Ollantaytambo, an ancient town that has been continuously inhabited since Incan times. Its narrow streets and intact Inca-era irrigation channels offer a living history lesson.

After dinner, you´ll take the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll stay overnight, ready to visit Machu Picchu the next day.

Day 3Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu Tour - Cusco.

Today, We’ll get up early for breakfast and catch one of the first buses to Machu Picchu. Once you arrive to this great citadel. you must present your entry ticket and original passports.

Enjoy a 2–3 hour guided tour of the citadel, exploring the best of Machu picchu such as: terraces, temples, plazas, the Guardhouse, and scenic viewpoints, temples, and palaces, then you will have free time or hike to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain are available for panoramic views (tickets not included, up on request).

We include Circuit 2 by default, as it provides the most comprehensive exploration of Machu Picchu. If it is unavailable, we will offer the best alternative—Circuit 3 or Circuit 1—to ensure an exceptional experience. We strongly recommend booking your Machu Picchu tickets well in advance, as availability is limited and the most popular circuits and schedules sell out quickly.

After exploring Machu Picchu, take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you can enjoy lunch, explore the town and look around the local shops. In the afternoon, you’ll take the Expedition Train for a 1.5-hour scenic journey to Ollantaytambo. followed by a private van ride back to Cusco. You are expected to arrive at your hotel in Cusco around 7:00 p.m.

Day 4Cusco - Rainbow Mountain Tour- Cusco.

We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco between 4:00 and 4:30 AM. From there, we’ll embark on a southward journey towards Cusipata, located at an elevation of 3,310 meters (10,859 feet). The drive will take approximately 2 hours.

Upon arriving in Cusipata, we’ll enjoy a delicious continental breakfast.
Then, we’ll take a van to the starting point in Cairawire, located at an elevation of 4,326 meters (14,189 feet).

Our 1.5-hour hike will take you to the awe-inspiring Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), which towers at 16,466 feet (5,020 meters). There, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the views, take photos, and explore this unique geological wonder.

Finally, you’ll hike back to our starting point, which takes between one hour. Then, you’ll return to Cusipata for a well-deserved lunch. After that, you’ll take a three-hour bus ride back to Cusco, arriving between 4 and 5 p.m.

Day 5Cusco - Moray + Maras Salt Mines Tour - Cusco.

We’ll Pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 AM and drive approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to the Archaeological Complex of Moray. On the way, stop in the picturesque village of Maras, which is surrounded by stunning landscapes and famous for its salt mines.

Explore the Moray Circular Terraces, an ancient center for agricultural experimentation shaped by unique microclimates.

Then visit the Maras salt mines, where local communities continue to harvest pink salt using traditional Inca methods — a perfect photo opportunity.

Return to Cusco by around 2:30 PM, with drop-off near the Plaza de Armas.

Day 7Cusco - Humantay Lagoon tour - Cusco

Start your adventure with an early pick up right from your hotel in Cusco between 4:00 and 4:30 AM. As you journey through the serene Andes, watch the mountains come alive with the morning light the perfect way to begin an unforgettable day.

Enjoy a delicious local breakfast in the charming town of Mollepata, fueling your body for the trek ahead.

Next, head to Soraypampa, where your guided hike will begin. Trek through stunning Andean landscapes on your way to the breathtaking turquoise waters of Lake Humantay. While the climb may be challenging, the breathtaking views and peaceful atmosphere at the top are well worth the effort.

After taking in the beauty and capturing memories, you’ll return to Mollepata for a hearty buffet lunch. Then, you’ll head back to Cusco, arriving by early evening.

Day 8Cusco Hotel -Airport

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy some free time to explore Cusco or do some last-minute shopping.

At the scheduled time, you’ll be transferred to the Cusco Airport for your flight to Lima, perfectly coordinated with your international departure. Our team ensures you arrive with plenty of time for a smooth, stress-free connection home.
