  • Additional expenses: Personal expenses, such as souvenirs and extras, are not included, so bring extra money based on your preferences.
  • Tips for Guides and Staff: Tips aren’t included and are completely optional—but a nice way to say thanks if you enjoyed the service.
  • Alcoholic Beverages: These must be purchased separately.

What to Bring

  • Original Passport: You must carry your original passport—copies aren’t accepted. Make sure it’s valid for at least six months and has at least two blank pages for entry and exit stamps when traveling to and from Peru.
  • Student ID: Required only if you booked Machu Picchu tour as a student. Your student card must be issued by your university (for travelers up to 25 years old) and include university details, your personal info, a photo, and a valid date no later than December 31 of the travel year.
  • Insect repellent:Use a repellent containing at least 15% DEET. Although there is no reported malaria risk, it helps prevent insect bites and keeps you comfortable.
  • Shoes or hiking boots:Wear comfortable tennis shoes or hiking boots with good grip to walk safely on uneven or sandy terrain.
  • Hat and sunglasses:The sun can be very strong in Ica and Huacachina. Wear a comfortable hat and sunglasses with UV protection.
  • Comfortable clothing:Dress for warm days and cooler, windy conditions. Bring a light waterproof and windproof jacket.
  • Daypack:A comfortable, lightweight, and compact backpack to carry your personal belongings during the day.
  • Personal medication:Bring your own medication and a basic first-aid kit.
  • Hand sanitizer:Carry a small bottle to disinfect your hands before eating, drinking, or after using restrooms.

Itinerary

Day 1Tour Lima - Ica - Huacachina - Ballestas Islands - Lima.

05: 00 AM – Departure from lima . We´ll pick you up from your hotel in Lima early in the morning. You’ll travel approximately 245 kilometres along the Pan-American Highway towards Paracas, a popular coastal town and tourist destination in the province of Pisco. There will be an optional stop in the city of Chincha for breakfast along the way. You are expected to arrive in Paracas at around 7:45 am.

08:00 AM- Ballestas Islands Tour. you’ll board a tourist boat for a guided group excursion (12–15 people) to the Ballestas Islands.

As the boat departs, you’ll have the chance to view El Candelabro, a large, mysterious geoglyph engraved into the hillside overlooking the Bay of Paracas.

After 30 minutes, you will reach the Ballestas Islands, where you will see a variety of marine wildlife and seabirds in their natural habitat.

Some of the species commonly seen include Guanay cormorants, Peruvian boobies, red-legged cormorants, Inca terns, Peruvian pelicans, Humboldt penguins, sea lions, and even dolphins.

10:00 AM – Transfer to Ica. After returning from the Ballestas Islands, you will begin a scenic 1-hour drive to the city of Ica.

11:00 AM – Visit to a Traditional Winery, where you’ll visit one of Ica’s renowned artisanal wineries, such as El Catador . Here, you’ll discover the traditional methods used in crafting Peruvian wine and the famous pisco, a local grape-based spirit. The tour includes a guided explanation of the production process and a tasting session where you can sample the winery’s signature products.

1:00 PM – You’ll have time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Ica (Optional), with a variety of regional dishes available. Afterward, the journey continues to Huacachina.

4:30 PM – you’ll arrive at the stunning Huacachina Oasis, located just 5 kilometers west of Ica. This natural desert oasis, surrounded by towering sand dunes and lined with palm, eucalyptus (an introduced species), and native Huarango trees, is a tranquil and picturesque spot rich in biodiversity and history.

The Huarango trees, in particular, play an important ecological role, serving as resting spots for migratory birds.

You’ll then embark on a 90-minute dune buggy (also known as tubular) adventure — a thrilling ride across the massive sand dunes.

This adrenaline-pumping activity is ideal for those who enjoy speed, excitement, and a bit of sand in their hair! There will also be opportunities for sandboarding and taking in panoramic views of the desert landscape.

Following the tour, you’ll return to the oasis to enjoy a peaceful walk around the lagoon and capture memorable photos as the sun begins to set.

6:30 PM – Return to Lima. After a full day of exploration, adventure, and cultural experiences, you’ll begin the return journey to Lima.

10:30 PM – we’ll Drop-off at Your Hotel in Lima. Estimated arrival in Lima is around 10:30 PM, with drop-off directly at your hotel.
