Day 01.- Puerto Maldonado - Amazon Lodge - Monkey Island.

Start your adventure with a convenient pickup from the Puerto Maldonado airport, bus station, or hotel. You’ll be transferred to our office to receive all the essential information about your Tambopata Eco Amazon tour.

Then enjoy a scenic one-hour boat ride to your Amazon lodge, where a refreshing local fruit juice awaits.

Accompanied by experienced local guides, explore rainforest trails filled with toucans, orioles, macaws, and monkeys. You’ll be just steps from the Tambopata National Reserve, home to incredible biodiversity.

Cross the river to Monkey Island and observe a family of capuchin monkeys in their natural habitat.

Day 02.-Amazon Lodge - Sandoval Lake.

After breakfast, take a 3-kilometer jungle hike to Sandoval Lake, located within the Tambopata National Reserve.

Board a paddle canoe to glide across the calm waters, perfect for close wildlife encounters. Spot piranhas, colorful birds, howler monkeys, and if lucky, the rare giant river otters.

Return to the lodge for a traditional Amazonian lunch. In the afternoon, relax at the lodge or enjoy the sunset over the Madre de Dios River from the lodge’s viewpoint – a serene way to reflect on the rainforest experience.

Our three-day adventure at Monte Amazon Lodge was an incredible experience! On Day 1, we started with a scenic cruise along the Madre de Dios River to the lodge, where we were welcomed with a refreshing fruit juice. The introductory rainforest walk was mesmerizing, with our knowledgeable guides pointing out toucans, macaws, and capuchin monkeys on Monkey Island. The evening’s search for white alligators and capybaras along the river was thrilling, ending with a delicious dinner at the lodge.

Day 2 took us on a jungle trek to the stunning Sandoval Lake. Gliding across the serene waters in a paddle canoe, we spotted piranhas, howler monkeys, and even the elusive giant otters. After a traditional lunch, we relaxed and enjoyed the breathtaking sunset over the Madre de Dios River. On the final day, the canopy walkway offered panoramic views and a chance to see tropical birds up close. Our early morning walk was a perfect ending to our rainforest adventure. Monte Amazon Lodge provided a memorable and enriching experience amidst the natural beauty of the Tambopata rainforest.
