Itinerary

Day 1Reception in Lima - Lima Hotel - City Tour in Lima - .Lima Hotel.

When you arrive at Jorge Chávez Airport, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel in Lima to relax and settle in.

In the afternoon around 2:00 p.m., you’ll start your Lima city tour, visiting the Main Square (Plaza de Armas), the San Francisco Convent, and the historic streets of the city.

You’ll also explore Miraflores, a modern oceanfront area where you can walk along the cliffs and enjoy beautiful views of the Pacific.

After the tour, you’ll return to your hotel in Lima. In the evening, you’ll enjoy Miraflores at its best, with ocean views, fresh air, and a vibrant atmosphere.

Day 2Lima Hotel – Paracas, Ballestas Islands & Huacachina Tour – Return to Lima

You will be picked up from your hotel in Lima at 5:00 a.m. and travel along the scenic Pan-American Highway toward Paracas. On the way, you will make a short stop in Chincha to rest or enjoy an optional breakfast before arriving in Paracas around 7:45 a.m.

At 8:00 a.m., you will begin an unforgettable Ballestas Islands tour, where you will see the famous Candelabra geoglyph and observe wildlife such as sea lions, Humboldt penguins, dolphins, and seabirds in their natural habitat.

After the boat tour, you will continue to Ica, where you will visit a traditional winery and learn about Peruvian pisco and wine production, followed by a guided tasting experience.

Later, you will visit the stunning Huacachina Oasis, one of the most popular attractions in Peru, where you will enjoy a thrilling buggy ride and sandboarding adventure across the desert dunes.

In the evening, you will return to Lima, arriving around 10:30 p.m., and you will be transferred back to your hotel to rest after a full day of adventure, culture, and desert exploration in Peru.

Day 3Lima Hotel to Cusco: Flight & City Tour

You will be transferred from your hotel in Lima to the airport in the morning for your flight to Cusco, a journey of approximately one hour.

Upon arrival at Cusco Airport, you will be met and taken to your hotel. Once you arrive, you will be offered coca tea, a traditional drink that helps with altitude adjustment, and you will have time to rest or enjoy a light lunch before your afternoon tour.

At 1:30 p.m., you will begin your Cusco city tour, visiting the Main Square, the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), and the charming historic streets of the city.

You will then continue to the impressive archaeological sites around Cusco, including Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay, where you will explore the history and legacy of the Inca civilization.

At the end of the tour, you will return to your hotel in Cusco at approximately 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for a well-deserved rest.

Day 4Cusco Hotel - Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour - Aguas Calientes hotel.

You will be picked up from your Cusco hotel at 7:30 a.m. and travel by private bus into the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas. Along the way, you will enjoy scenic viewpoints and learn about the history of the Inca civilization.

Your first stop will be Pisac, where you will visit its traditional artisan market. You will then explore the impressive Pisac archaeological site, known for its terraces and ancient temples built into the mountains.

Afterward, you will continue to Urubamba, where you will have time for lunch at a typical Andean restaurant (buffet lunch not included).

In the afternoon, you will visit Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town where original stone homes are still in use. Here you will explore the archaeological site with its massive terraces and ceremonial structures.

Later, you will board the train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying a scenic ride of about 1 hour and 45 minutes through the Urubamba Valley, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and Inca ruins.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our staff will meet you at the train station and take you to your hotel to rest before your visit to Machu Picchu.

Day 5Aguas Calientes Hotel - Machu Picchu Tour - Cusco Hotel .

You will wake up early and enjoy breakfast at your hotel in Aguas Calientes, then meet your guide and take a bus up to Machu Picchu.

Upon arrival, you will present your entry ticket and original passport before entering the citadel. You will then enjoy a 2–3 hour guided tour, exploring the main highlights of Machu Picchu, including terraces, temples, plazas, the Guardhouse, and panoramic viewpoints.

After the guided visit, you will have free time. Optional hikes to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain are available for even more incredible views (tickets not included, upon request).

We include Circuit 2 by default, as it offers the most complete experience of Machu Picchu. If it is not available, you will be assigned Circuit 3 or Circuit 1 to ensure the best possible visit. We strongly recommend booking tickets in advance due to limited availability.

After your visit, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you can have lunch or explore the town. In the afternoon, you will board the Expedition Train for a scenic 1.5-hour journey to Ollantaytambo, followed by a private transfer back to Cusco, arriving at your hotel in the evening.

Day 6Aguas Calientes Hotel to Machu Picchu Tour & Return to Cusco Hotel

You will wake up early and enjoy breakfast at your hotel in Aguas Calientes, then meet your tour guide and take a bus up to Machu Picchu.

Upon arrival, you must present your entry ticket and original passport before entering the citadel. You will then enjoy a 2–3 hour guided tour, exploring the main highlights of Machu Picchu, including terraces, temples, plazas, the Guardhouse, and scenic viewpoints.

After the guided visit, you will have free time. Optional hikes to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain are available for panoramic views (tickets not included, upon request).

Day 7Cusco Hotel – Rainbow Mountain Full Day Trek – Cusco Hotel

You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 a.m. and travel by private transport to Cusipata–Paucarpata, passing through beautiful Andean villages and stunning mountain landscapes.

Upon arrival, you will enjoy a hearty breakfast and prepare for the trek. Then you will continue for about 1 hour and 20 minutes to the starting point of the hike, surrounded by valleys and snow-capped peaks.

Your adventure begins at Llaqto (Cairahuire Alto) at 3,700 m / 12,139 ft, where you will start a 2-hour uphill hike to Rainbow Mountain. Along the way, you will see llamas, alpacas, and incredible glacier scenery.

At the summit of 5,038 m / 16,522 ft, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the colorful Rainbow Mountain and the Andes—perfect for photos and unforgettable memories.

After enjoying time at the top, you will descend back to the starting point where your transport will be waiting. You will continue to Cusipata for a well-earned lunch.

Finally, you will return to Cusco, arriving around 4:30 p.m., and you will be dropped off near the main square or your hotel, ending your unforgettable Rainbow Mountain experience.

Day 8Cusco Hotel – Cusco Airport – Flight (Lima to Home)

After breakfast at your hotel, you will have free time to explore Cusco or do some last-minute shopping.

At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to Cusco Airport for your flight to Lima, connecting with your international departure.

Everything will be well organized to ensure a smooth and stress-free journey home.

The Peru Adventure Tour was an exhilarating journey packed with unforgettable experiences. From exploring the bustling streets of Lima to marveling at the natural wonders of the Ballestas Islands and Huacachina oasis, every moment was filled with excitement. The highlight of the tour was undoubtedly the visit to Machu Picchu, a place that truly captured the essence of adventure and exploration.

Trekking through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and witnessing the breathtaking landscapes en route to Aguas Calientes added an extra layer of thrill to the journey. And the Rainbow Mountain excursion was the perfect finale, offering stunning views and a sense of accomplishment after a challenging hike.

As the tour came to a close and we bid farewell to the majestic city of Cusco, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude for the memories created and the friendships forged along the way.
