After a short visit, you will continue by local transport for approximately 30 minutes along a rustic mountain road to the trailhead, the official starting point of your Ausangate Trek.
You will then begin a 3-hour hike to Upis campsite, crossing gentle ascents and descents while enjoying crystal-clear streams, rural hamlets, and your first panoramic views of the sacred Ausangate Mountain, one of the most important Apu (sacred mountains) in the Peruvian Andes.

The group will begin with a short 20-minute uphill walk to a viewpoint, where you will admire the majestic Ausangate Mountain in all its splendor, one of the most iconic sacred peaks in the Peruvian Andes.
From there, you will continue hiking through a scenic up-and-down trail toward the famous Seven Lakes of Ausangate. You will spend approximately one hour exploring these pristine high-altitude lakes, each displaying unique turquoise and deep blue colors surrounded by breathtaking Andean landscapes.
This is your final opportunity to experience the snow-capped Ausangate Mountain from a different and unforgettable perspective.
After visiting the lakes, you will descend to the Pacchanta hot springs, where you can relax in natural thermal waters while enjoying panoramic views of Ausangate towering above you. After a well-deserved break, you will enjoy a traditional Andean lunch before saying goodbye to your horseman and chef.
