Itinerary

Day 1 Lima: Airport Pickup, City Tour & Miraflores Experience

Arrive at Jorge Chávez International Airport, where our representative will welcome you and take you comfortably to your hotel in Lima.

In the afternoon, around 2:00 PM, meet your guide and begin exploring the vibrant capital of Peru. Start in the Historic Center of Lima, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll discover the impressive Plaza de Armas, visit the historic San Francisco Convent and Catacombs, and walk through charming colonial streets filled with history.

As you explore, learn about Lima’s fascinating past, from its Spanish colonial heritage to the traditions that continue to shape the city today.

Later, head to Miraflores, one of Lima’s most popular coastal districts. Walk along the scenic Malecón de Miraflores, enjoy panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, and take in the lively atmosphere of this modern neighborhood.

Your first day gives you a taste of Lima’s history, culture, architecture, and coastal beauty, setting the perfect beginning for your journey through Peru.

Day 2Lima to Cusco: Flight, Hotel & Cusco City Tour

Start your day with a comfortable transfer from your hotel to Lima Airport for your flight to Cusco. The flight takes approximately one hour, and as you approach the Andes, you’ll begin to see the dramatic mountain landscapes surrounding your destination.

Upon arrival at Cusco Airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Once you arrive, enjoy a cup of traditional coca tea and take some time to rest and acclimatize to the altitude before your afternoon tour.

Around 1:30 PM, meet your guide and begin exploring Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. Start in the Main Square and visit the impressive Temple of the Sun, or Koricancha, while discovering the city’s fascinating blend of Inca and Spanish architecture.

Continue beyond the city center to explore four remarkable Inca and pre-Inca sites: the imposing fortress of Sacsayhuamán, the ceremonial site of Qenqo, the ancient military outpost of Puca Pucara, and the water temple of Tambomachay.

After a day filled with history, culture, and spectacular Andean scenery, return to your hotel around 6:30–7:00 PM.

Day 3Sacred Valley of the Incas & Train to Aguas Calientes

Your day begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at around 7:30 AM. Travel comfortably by private minibus into the Sacred Valley of the Incas, surrounded by impressive mountains, fertile valleys, and ancient Inca landscapes. Along the way, stop at scenic viewpoints to admire the scenery and learn about the history and traditions of the region.

Arrive in the town of Pisac, where you’ll have time to explore its traditional craft market before visiting the impressive Pisac Archaeological Site. Walk among its ancient agricultural terraces and ceremonial structures built into the mountainside while discovering the ingenuity of the Inca civilization.

Continue to Urubamba, where you’ll have time for lunch at a typical Andean restaurant. A buffet lunch is available for approximately USD 20 per person and is not included in the tour price.

After lunch, continue to Ollantaytambo, known as the “Living Inca Town” because many of its original Inca structures are still inhabited today. Explore the archaeological site, where massive stone terraces, ceremonial temples, and ancient pathways reveal the importance of this remarkable Inca settlement.

Later, head to the train station and board your train to Aguas Calientes. During the approximately 1 hour and 45-minute journey, relax and enjoy views of the Urubamba Valley, snow-capped mountains, agricultural terraces, and remnants of ancient Inca settlements.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, located at approximately 2,000 m (6,560 ft), our staff will meet you outside the main entrance of the train station and escort you to your hotel.

Day 4Machu Picchu & Return to Cusco

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast at your hotel before meeting your guide and taking the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, you’ll present your entrance ticket and original passport before entering the legendary Inca citadel.

Begin a 2–3 hour guided tour through Machu Picchu, discovering its remarkable agricultural terraces, ancient temples, plazas, ceremonial structures, and panoramic viewpoints. As you explore, your guide will share the history, architecture, and fascinating stories behind this iconic Inca sanctuary.

Circuit 2 is included by default, offering one of the most comprehensive routes through Machu Picchu. If Circuit 2 is unavailable, we’ll arrange the best available alternative, such as Circuit 1 or Circuit 3, depending on ticket availability.

For an additional adventure, you can request tickets for Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, where you’ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views over the citadel and surrounding Andes. Additional hiking tickets are not included and are subject to availability.

After your visit, take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch, explore the town, or browse the local shops.

In the afternoon, board the Expedition Train for a scenic journey of approximately 1.5 hours to Ollantaytambo. From there, continue by private van to Cusco, arriving at your hotel at approximately 7:00 PM.

Day 5Ruta del Sol: Cusco to Puno

Begin your journey to Puno with the famous Ruta del Sol, a scenic journey through the Peruvian Andes combining impressive landscapes, ancient archaeological sites, and fascinating Andean history.

In the morning, you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Cusco and transferred to the bus station. Your first stop is Andahuaylillas, arriving at approximately 8:30 AM. This charming Andean town is part of the Andean Baroque Route and is home to the beautiful Church of San Pedro Apóstol, often known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas.” Step inside to admire its richly decorated interior, featuring impressive murals, intricate artwork, and gold-leaf details.

Around 11:00 AM, continue to the Raqchi Archaeological Site, an important Inca complex known for the monumental Temple of Wiracocha. Marvel at its enormous walls and massive columns while learning about the significance of this remarkable site during the Inca Empire.

After your visit, stop for lunch before continuing through the Andes toward La Raya Pass, the highest point of the journey. At approximately 4,335 m (14,222 ft), enjoy spectacular mountain views and the chance to photograph the snow-capped peaks of the surrounding Andes.

Your next stop is the Pucara Lithic Museum, where you’ll discover stone sculptures, ceramics, textiles, and other artifacts connected to the ancient Pucara civilization.

Finally, continue to Puno, your gateway to the legendary Lake Titicaca. Arrive at approximately 6:30 PM and transfer to your hotel after a memorable day exploring the landscapes and cultural heritage of southern Peru.

Day 6Lake Titicaca: Uros Floating Islands & Taquile Island

Start your morning with breakfast at your hotel before heading out to discover the wonders of Lake Titicaca. At around 7:00 AM, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the port to board your boat at approximately 7:20 AM.

Your first stop is the fascinating Uros Floating Islands, about 30 minutes from the port. Meet members of the Uros community and discover how these unique islands are built entirely from totora reeds, a plant that has been an essential part of life on Lake Titicaca for generations. Learn how the reeds are used to build homes, boats, and other everyday objects while experiencing this remarkable living tradition.

Continue by boat for approximately one hour to Taquile Island, famous for its spectacular views of Lake Titicaca and its traditional textile art, recognized by UNESCO. Walk along scenic paths, meet local residents, and discover their traditional way of life. You’ll also enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by a local family, giving you a taste of authentic Andean cuisine.

After exploring Taquile, return by boat to Puno and transfer back to your hotel. As you travel across the lake, take in the vast blue waters, surrounding mountains, and unforgettable landscapes of the Peruvian Andes.

Day 7Puno to Lima: Flight & Free Time

After a relaxing morning in Puno, you’ll be transferred to Juliaca Airport for your flight back to Lima.

Upon arrival in Lima, our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax after your journey, enjoy the hotel, or explore more of Lima at your own pace.

Take the opportunity to revisit your favorite places, discover a local restaurant, or simply unwind before continuing your Peru adventure.

Day 8Paracas, Ballestas Islands, Ica & Huacachina

Start your day early with pickup from your hotel in Lima at 5:00 AM and begin your journey south to Paracas, approximately 245 km away. Along the way, make a short stop in Chincha to use the facilities or enjoy an optional traditional breakfast.

Arrive in Paracas at around 8:00 AM and board a motorized boat to the Ballestas Islands. Cruise through Independence Bay and admire the famous Candelabro geoglyph before getting close to the islands’ abundant marine wildlife. Keep an eye out for sea lions, Humboldt penguins, dolphins, pelicans, Peruvian boobies, and cormorants as you explore this spectacular coastal ecosystem.

After approximately two hours, return to the port and continue to Ica, arriving around 10:00–10:30 AM. At approximately 11:00 AM, visit El Catador or Nieto Artisanal Winery, where you’ll learn about the traditional production of Peruvian wine and pisco and enjoy a tasting of local specialties.

Afterward, enjoy lunch before continuing to Huacachina Oasis in the afternoon. Surrounded by towering golden dunes, this desert oasis is one of Peru’s most iconic landscapes. Experience an exciting 1.5-hour dune buggy adventure, crossing the desert and enjoying spectacular views from the dunes. You’ll then have free time to explore the oasis, take photos, or relax by the lagoon.

In the evening, continue by bus to Nazca, where you’ll check in to your hotel and rest before the next day’s adventure.

Day 9Nazca Lines Flight & Return to Lima

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before being transferred to Nazca Airport at around 8:00 AM for one of the most unforgettable experiences of your Peru adventure: a flight over the Nazca Lines.

Before takeoff, you’ll receive a safety briefing and useful information about the flight. Then, take to the skies on an approximately 35-minute flight and discover the mysterious geoglyphs spread across the Nazca Desert.

From above, you’ll have a unique perspective of famous figures such as the Hummingbird, Monkey, Spider, Whale, and Astronaut, along with hundreds of enormous geometric shapes and straight lines etched into the desert floor.

After your flight, return to your hotel and enjoy some free time before heading to the bus station.

At approximately 2:00 PM, board the Cruz del Sur tourist bus to Lima. Sit back and enjoy the journey as you travel north along Peru’s coastal desert.

Arrive in Lima at approximately 10:00 PM, where you’ll be transferred to your hotel.
