Itinerary

Day 1Machu Picchu Full-Day Tour from Cusco (Vistadome / 360° Train)

You begin your Machu Picchu tour from Cusco with hotel pickup around 4:30 a.m., ensuring a comfortable and fully organized start to your full-day Machu Picchu experience.

You will be transferred to the Ollantaytambo train station, where you will board the exclusive Vistadome Observatory Train or 360° Panoramic Train, two of the most scenic rail journeys in Peru.
From here, you will start your unforgettable journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, following the Urubamba River as you descend from the Andes into the cloud forest—one of the highlights of any Peru travel experience.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), you will have a short break to relax, take photos, or enjoy a coffee before continuing your adventure.

You will then take a short bus ride to the entrance of the Machu Picchu Citadel, where you will present your passport and entrance ticket.

Inside the archaeological site, you will enjoy a 2 – 3 hour guided Machu Picchu tour, exploring the most important areas of the Inca citadel, including temples, terraces, ceremonial plazas, the Guard House, and panoramic viewpoints.

This Machu Picchu guided tour (Circuit 2 – standard route) offers the most complete experience of the site. If Circuit 2 is not available, Circuit 1 or Circuit 3 will be assigned instead. It is highly recommended to book in advance, as Machu Picchu entrance tickets sell out quickly.

After your guided visit, you will enjoy lunch in Aguas Calientes at Full House or Chullos Restaurant, where you can taste Peruvian and international cuisine made with fresh local ingredients, often with stunning mountain views.

In the afternoon, you will board the return Vistadome or 360° Train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by private transport back to Cusco.

You will arrive at your hotel around 7:00 a 8:00 p.m., completing your unforgettable Machu Picchu full-day tour from Cusco by panoramic train.
