Day 1Cusco – Huchuy Qosqo - Lamay - Cusco

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure!

We will pick you up at 4:30 in the morning from your hotel in Cusco City or any location near the city center (hotels, Airbnb, apartments, or hostels) and you’ll travel in a comfortable van to Patabamba, located at 3,848 meters above sea level, You will have time to admire the scenery of the surrounding mountain scenery before beginning your incredible Huchuy Qosqo trek.

From the very first step, you’ll be surrounded by breathtaking Andean landscapes. You’ll hike through the peaceful village of Sihua and climb to the top of Pukamarca Mountain at 4,150 meters, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Sacred Valley, the Urubamba mountain range, and the distant ruins of Huchuy Qosqo.

After a refreshing descent, you’ll reach the community of Pukamarca, where a delicious lunch will be waiting for you — the perfect way to recharge.

Next, you’ll follow a restored Inca trail that leads you to Puma Punku, the famous “Door of the Puma.” This ancient path takes you straight to the mysterious Inca site of Huchuy Qosqo, where you’ll explore sacred temples, agricultural terraces, and ancient structures that showcase the genius of Inca engineering.
