What to bring

  • Original Passport: Copies are not accepted. You must carry your original passport, valid for at least six months. Make sure it has at least two blank pages for entry and exit stamps.

  • Airline tickets: Please bring your original airline tickets along with printed or digital copies.
  • Hand sanitizer: Always carry a small bottle to disinfect your hands before eating, drinking, or after using the bathroom. Essential for maintaining hygiene during the trip.
  • Credit or debit card: Physical card for personal expenses and spending money.
  • All Tickets: Keep all your tickets on hand, including train, entrance, and bus tickets. You can print them or download them on your phone for easy access.
  • Insect repellent: Use one with at least 15% DEET. Although there is no reported malaria risk, it helps prevent bites and keeps you comfortable.
  • Comfortable footwear: Tennis shoes or hiking boots with good grip are important for walking on uneven and steep terrain.
  • Comfortable clothing: Dress for cold and windy weather. A waterproof and windproof jacket is highly recommended.
  • Daypack: Bring a comfortable, lightweight, and compact backpack to carry your belongings throughout the day.
  • Medications and personal items: Bring personal medications and items such as contact lens solution if needed.
  • Sun protection: Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect yourself from strong high-altitude sun exposure.
  • Personal medication: Don’t forget your own medicine and a basic first-aid kit.
  • Hat and sunglasses: The sun is intense at high altitude. Wear UV-protective sunglasses and a comfortable hat.
  • Warm clothing: Temperatures can vary significantly between day and night. Bring layers such as fleeces, long-sleeve shirts, down jackets, and a waterproof outer layer.
  • Emergency money: Carry extra cash for unexpected expenses. We recommend around 300 soles (approximately USD 90).
Itinerary

Day 1Lima Hotel – Lima City Tour – Juliaca Airport - Puno Hotel.

We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Lima at 8:30 AM. Explore the heart of Peru’s capital as you visit iconic landmarks such as Plaza San Martín, Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Cathedral, Archbishop’s Palace, City Hall, and the Convent and Church of San Francisco with its famous catacombs.

If your schedule allows, you can also take some time to explore the vibrant Miraflores district in the evening. Stroll along the picturesque cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, enjoy the lively atmosphere, and discover the perfect blend of modern charm and historic beauty that makes Lima so captivating.

In the afternoon, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Juliaca (Puno), where our staff will assist you with your transfer to your selected hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2Puno Hotel – Lake Titicaca + Uros Tour - Puno Hotel.

Uros Floating Islands & Taquile Island – Full-Day Tour

We’llpick you up from your hotel at 6:45 am.and take you to the port to board the 7:15 AM boat across the stunning Lake Titicaca.

Then, you’ll stop at Uros Floating Islands, just a 30-minute ride away. Here, you’ll meet the Uros people, one of the lake’s oldest cultures. You’ll see how they live on islands made entirely of totora reeds—used to build their homes, boats, and even as food and fuel. Experience firsthand how this remarkable community has preserved its centuries-old way of life on the water.

Next, you’ll sail for about an hour to Taquile Island, famous for its breathtaking lake views and UNESCO-recognized textiles. Walk along scenic trails to the Plaza de Armas, visit local workshops, and enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by a local family.

After this enriching cultural experience, you’ll return by motorized boat to the port and then back to your hotel.

We’ll pick you up from your hotel to begin an unforgettable journey through the southern highlands of Peru.

7:00 AM – Ticket Registration
Once you Arrive at the bus terminal (Address: 430 Costanera Avenue, Puno, 21001) to register your ticket and check your luggage.

7:20 AM – Departure from Puno
Board the bus and set off on a scenic route that showcases the beauty and culture of the Andes.

1. Pukará – The Lithic Museum of the Pukará Culture
Learn about the ancient Pukará culture (1600 B.C.–400 A.D.), which thrived on the northern highlands of Lake Titicaca. Discover their herding, fishing, and advanced water-management systems, along with zoomorphic pottery and sculptures such as the Hatunñaqac, meaning “The Supreme Executioner.”

2. Abra La Raya Pass – Puno/Cusco Border
Reach the highest point on the route (4,335 m / 14,222 ft) and enjoy breathtaking views of the Chimboya Glacier, where the Amazon River begins.

Duration: 10-minute stop for photos
Tip: Wear warm clothes and sip coca tea to help with the altitude

3. Sicuani – Buffet Lunch at La Pascana
Stop at La Pascana Restaurant on the outskirts of Sicuani for a delicious buffet lunch featuring a wide variety of regional dishes, including vegetarian options.

4. San Pedro – Archaeological Site of Raqchi
Explore the impressive Temple of Wiracocha, dedicated to the Inca god “creator of the world.” See 156 circular Colcas (grain storage houses), barracks, and homes used by the Inca people and their messengers (chaskis).

Duration: 40-minute guided tour
Entry fee: S/. 15 per person
Tip: Wear a sun hat, as the UV is strong at high altitude

5. Andahuaylillas – Church of St. Peter the Apostle
Known as the “Sistine Chapel of America”, this 16th-century church is built on the foundations of old Inca constructions. Admire the murals, gold-leaf ornaments, and preserved treasures inside.

5:00 PM – Arrival in Cusco
Arrive at the private bus terminal in Cusco (Address: 28 de Julio Avenue, Wanchaq). You’ll be picked up by private transport and transferred to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 4Cusco Hotel – Sacred Valley Tour - Cusco Hotel.

At 7:30 AM, your guide will pick you up from your Cusco hotel for a private minibus journey through the Sacred Valley. Stop at scenic viewpoints to admire the valley and learn about its rich Inca history.

Visit Pisaq to explore its colorful crafts market and the archaeological complex with impressive terraces and temples. Continue to Urubamba for a typical Andean lunch (not included, approx. USD 20 per person). Then, head to Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town, and explore its archaeological site with terraces, ceremonial temples, 

The final stop is the town of Chinchero, famous for its textile tradition. Here, you will learn ancient weaving techniques and admire the fusion of colonial architecture with Inca foundations.

Afterwards, you will return to Cusco, arriving at around 7:00 p.m., having experienced a day filled with history, culture and unforgettable landscapes.

Day 5Cusco Hotel – Machupicchu Tour – Cusco hotel.

We’ll pick you up from your Cusco hotel around 4:00 a.m. and take you to Ollantaytambo, Then, you’ll board a train in Ollantaytambo that will take you through breathtaking Andean landscapes to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu.

Upon arrival, our team will meet and take you to the bus station for a short bus ride to the entrance of Machu Picchu. At this magnificent citadel, you’ll need to present your entrance ticket and original passport.

Enjoy a 2-3 hour guided tour of the citadel, exploring the highlights of Machu Picchu, including the terraces, temples, plazas, Guard House, and panoramic viewpoints.

The tour includes Circuit 2 by default, which offers the most comprehensive experience of visiting Machu Picchu. If tickets are sold out, we offer the next best alternatives: Circuit 3 or Circuit 1. We recommend booking your Machu Picchu tickets well in advance because availability is limited, and the most popular circuits and times often sell out quickly.

After exploring Machu Picchu, take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you can have lunch, explore the town, and visit the artisan shops. In the afternoon, you will board the Expedition or Voyagers train for a scenic 1 hour and 45 minutes journey to Ollantaytambo, followed by a private minibus transfer back to Cusco. You are expected to arrive at your hotel in Cusco around 7:00 p.m., concluding an unforgettable day exploring one of the world’s most iconic wonders.

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport at the time indicated for departing from the city of Lima, and to take the flight back home.
