Itinerary

Day 1Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Incas – Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Tour Peru)

At 7:00 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco, Peru. To begin your unforgettable Sacred Valley of the Incas tour to Machu Picchu.

You will visit Chinchero, a traditional Andean village where you will explore an Inca archaeological site, a colonial church, and a local artisan market known for handmade textiles. Then you will continue to Moray, the famous Inca agricultural laboratory with circular terraces, followed by the breathtaking Maras Salt Mines (Salineras de Maras), one of the most iconic landscapes in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Peru.

Next, you will enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba, in the heart of the Sacred Valley, with traditional Peruvian cuisine and local dishes, surrounded by stunning views of the Andes Mountains.

After lunch, you will explore the Ollantaytambo Inca fortress and archaeological site, one of the best preserved Inca ruins in Peru, as well as the charming living Inca town.

From there, you will board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), the gateway to the Machu Picchu Inca Citadel.

Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel in Aguas Calientes and relax after a full day exploring the Sacred Valley, Inca sites, and Andean landscapes of Peru.

Overnight: Hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo, Peru).

Day 2Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu Citadel – Cusco (Return)

You will wake up early in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo) and enjoy breakfast before meeting your professional guide.

Then, you will take the bus to the iconic Machu Picchu Inca Citadel, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Peru.

Upon arrival, you will present your entrance ticket and passport to access the Machu Picchu archaeological site.

You will enjoy a 2 – 3 hour guided tour, exploring highlights such as Inca terraces, temples, plazas, the Guardhouse viewpoint, and panoramic viewpoints of the Andes and the Sacred Valley.

After the tour, you may explore on your own or hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (optional, not included) for stunning views of the Lost City of the Incas.

This tour includes Circuit 2 (Classic Route), the most complete way to explore Machu Picchu. If unavailable, Circuit 1 or 3 will be provided. We strongly recommend booking Machu Picchu tickets in advance, as availability is limited.

After your visit, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have time for lunch and exploring the town. In the afternoon, you will take the Expedition Train through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to Ollantaytambo, followed by a private transfer back to Cusco,  arriving at your hotel around 7:00 p.m.
